courtship of the monsoon

after counting thousands of days

finally, the day arrives

when monsoon thrives

years of peeking through the clouds,

the feelings being bottled up

she finally decides

to shine a light

on the earth

and she screams with utter joy

blushes with embarrassment

the thunderous sound

excites the earth

they get curious and dance around

whisper into the gust

seeing the earth excited to hear from her

the monsoon couldn’t resist anymore

and jumps right off the cloud

blop

the first touch

blop

the first embrace

blop

the first caress

blop

they sing in harmony

dance in joy

together they build a world

a world of love

a world of creation

a world of music

a world of fragrance

a world of dreams

a world of tranquility

a world that not necessarily shines
